Choosing an agency
Is management the right next step? A self-check
This short exercise can lead to self-management, limited support or a full management conversation. There is no preferred result.
Check the essentials first
Can you create the agreed material, set boundaries and make time for approvals? If not, first work out a sustainable production plan. An agency cannot replace your consent, your creative input or platform identity verification. You do not need a large following to think clearly about these responsibilities.
Answer four questions
- Is a recurring operational task regularly being missed?
- Would you like someone else to carry out that task within agreed boundaries?
- Can you explain the result you want and supply what the task needs?
- Can you compare the proposed fee with realistic financial scenarios?
Write yes, no or uncertain beside each. For every yes, add an example from the last month. “I would like more growth” is less useful than “I missed three planned releases because inbox work used my production time.”
Interpret your answers
| Pattern | Possible next step |
|---|---|
| Tasks fit your week; you want operational control | Continue self-management and review later. |
| One specific task is the bottleneck | Explore clearly scoped help before full management. |
| Several tasks are missed; you want delegation; inputs are ready | Compare management offers and permissions. |
| Fee basis or expected workload is unclear | Collect the missing information before committing. |
Make one next action concrete
If solo fits, schedule a monthly review. If limited help fits, write a one-task brief. If management fits, request a written scope and a sample statement. Do not interpret a desire for free time as proof that your remaining income will rise; run that calculation separately.
